Tempus Fugit
It’s been over a year since I last updated this blog.
It’s really hard to believe that much time has passed.
It’s been a busy year. I took up home brewing as a hobby, because obviously I don’t have enough hobbies.
Right?
It’s been a fun an fairly successful hobby and I’m actually planning on starting a video blog about that so watch this space.
I’ve also turned 40 since I last posted. That seems quite surreal to me. I mean there is no debating whatsoever that I am definitely supposed to be a grown up now but weirdly I still don’t feel any different.
I’ve continued to study martial arts at The ZKJ Dojo and this had become a hugely important thing to me. Training with this club and working with them is immensely rewarding and hugely enjoyable and I will be posting a lot more about this in future. Just recently I was hugely proud to receive my 3rd Kyu brown belt at the same time Zane received his junior brown belt.
I also recently directed a documentary about The ZKJ Dojo and the work that is being done with Fight For Peace and the Northern Ireland Youth Forum. That was a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to getting that uploaded and will share it here too.
I also recently started working with the newly formed Ulster Amateur MMA (UAMMA) organisation. I am serving as the marketing and communications directory in a voluntary capacity and we ran the first ever amateur MMA tournament for all ages here in Belfast and we believe this was the first of its kind in the world. I just recently finished pulling together some video footage of the day so here it is…..
